I caught the last part where Nick Fury tells Steve that he's been asleep for 70 years. That little half-shrug/sigh and then the shot of his face when he looks around at Time Square...he just realized everyone he knows is dead and gone. No wonder he's been jumping out of planes without a parachute since then.

YAAASSSSSS!

Despite not doing an Addison "So you must be the woman sleeping with my husband" Montgomery, Elijah is what I wanted. There's an electricity between him and Gael that was absent with Brian. He seems up to being a worthy rival for Gael's affections. So excited.

Rocketman

Rocketman was the musical Bohemian Rhapsody was too lazy to be. Taron Egerton was a revelation as Elton John, and if Rami Malek won for that travesty of a performance, Taron should at least get a nomination.

I find it fitting that Mary Ann is lugging around her literal baggage all around San Francisco lol

p.s. Murray Bartlett and Charlie Barnett are hot apart and together.

Man, Paul Newman was a babe, silverfoxing all over that movie and exclipsing Robert Redford. Also, props to him making that mustache werq!

I have to commend the marketing of this movie. See Chris Pine's dick and maybe, you'll also learn about some Scottish history.

tldr: It's blurry and definitely not Fassbender-like in exposure or length. Maybe, he's a grower though.

When they announced that they were going to have a gay doctor on the show, I was intrigued enough to watch the premiere just to see. Six episodes later, I am hooked. DAMMIT!!!

I remember watching this and I knew Julia Roberts was gonna be a star one day.

p.s. Vincent D'Onofrio was a babe when he was younger.

Brandon Routh was great as Clark/Superman. It's probably better than Man of Steel, even if I'm fond of Henry Cavill and his non-acting. But it's really weird to have good thoughts about this movie because of Kevin Spacey and Bryan Singer.

aka Two Sexy Fathers and One Hot Daddy.

So excited.

Disappointing.

While Julianne Moore is delicious as the Big Bad, it almost feels like a retread of the first one. And that had the element of surprise on its side. Read more... )

But DAMN, Pedro Pascal is fucking hot.

Limitless

I'm starting a rewatch of Limitless, and seriously, I'm still super-pissed that they cancelled this show. It was a fun procedural with an entertaining lead in Jake McDorman. I can't believe they didn't give it a 2nd season at the very least!

While I appreciate the rakish sexiness of Han Solo, I think that nothing can compare to peak Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones.

I really really like it. It's the best Spiderman movie since Spiderman 2, and probably part of the reason why is that it features the best villain we've seen in the MCU (I just realized that Michael Keaton was the lead in Birdman *wink wink*). The main reasons why is that Tom Holland is the best Spiderman/Peter Parker like ever, and the story/movie lets him be the kid that he really is. It also reminds me of Ant-Man because it's really a small movie, masquerading as a blockbuster -- the story and conflict is localized, the concerns (especially Peter's) are not about the fate of the world/universe but are serious all the same.

I'm currently watching and I'm always pleasantly surprised to be reminded that Henry Cavill was in this. He was such a baby in this, but even then, his wide, beaming smile is recognizable.

I just binged watched it and the long hiatus was worth it. It's better in so many ways than the first season. I was one of those people who was not really enamored with the show, and joked that I only stay for the clusterfucks (sorrynotsorry) but I'm glad I gave it another chance.

I think that the Wachowski excel at world-building -- I mean, look at The Matrix and Jupiter Ascending -- so it's fascinating what they cooked up for us in the 2nd season. Read more... )

I watched the movie over the weekend, I think it's an interesting piece of work; it works like a a fabulous fever dream, totally in line with what's happening to the lead character. I have a fondness for this mainly because I think that this was the reason for my sexual awakening...that term makes me laugh, but I think it's very apt. I had an inkling I was gay way before this but it was like this boy is cute, that one is adorable, etc. When I watched this movie, I totally latched onto one male dancer, Autumn, which would climax (pun intended) in Take Off With Us.

It's the best sequel since The Winter Soldier. Groot slays every time he's on screen and surprisingly, it's more emotional than the first movie. I want to watch it again.
