Troy: Fall of a City
Apr. 8th, 2018 03:33 pmThe tragedy of this story is not that two people risked the death and destruction of Troy and Greece for love, to be torn apart at the end. What's truly tragic is that the show couldn't find two actors who had chemistry to make me believe that what they were feeling was worth everything they put everyone through. Me wading through 8 hours of this show...that is also tragic.
Joseph Mawle was great as Odysseus and I will be willing to watch if they come back with The Odyssey next year.

Mothers Getting It Done
Jan. 21st, 2018 12:43 pmWatching Half Blood Prince & the Deathly Hallows again makes me appreciate the mothers of this franchise. Lily Potter, Molly Weasley, and Narcisa Malfoy are so fucking fierce. They would all die for their children (in fact, one of them already did) but wow, Molly battling Bellatrix and Narcisa lying to Voldemort and deciding fuck this and leaving Hogwarts as the battle starts, so fucking awesome.
The Exorcist
Oct. 27th, 2017 09:12 pmWe're now getting to the meat of the story in season 2, and I'm so intrigued at what's happening to this new family. Anyway, I started a rewatch of the 1st season and wow, I missed a lot during the initial watch. The whole Rance family was great (from Geena Davis to Sharon Gless, especially Hannah Kasulka) but I have to give it up to the casting of the show which gave us great supporting characters like Maria Walters, Mother Bernadette, the Regos, and the creepy Salesman.
New Fall Shows
Oct. 4th, 2017 01:33 pmI really like The Mayor, The Gifted & Kevin (Probably) Saves the World.
Absentia is interesting, and I want to see more of The Good Doctor and Young Sheldon. And now that we get to meet the crew in Star Trek: Discovery, I'm on board with it.
I hated the Inhumans. Lockjaw does not deserve this injustice.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle
Sep. 20th, 2017 05:42 pmDisappointing.
While Julianne Moore is delicious as the Big Bad, it almost feels like a retread of the first one. And that had the element of surprise on its side. ( Read more... )
But DAMN, Pedro Pascal is fucking hot.
