He got into Starfleet and he became a Science Officer. I'm so proud of my baby Borg, and I love that Seven and he are family after all these years. And then... I was still crying an hour after. I loved Voyager and Seven immensely, one of my favorite sets of episodes are the Borg kids, especially Icheb trying to become helpful to Seven and its crew -- which lead to his dream to become Starfleet.
I'm just really surprised at my reaction to his death. Which leads me to Seven being this world-weary broken person. She finally started using her name Annika again but Icheb's death 14 years ago pushed her back and all she wanted was revenge on the people who did this ever since. It's an interesting take, to push her away from her humanity but then we all don't get a retirement ceremony and a loving tribute when we leave Starfleet, some get kicked out like Raffi and some just do what they have to survive and keep whatever measure of peace they can.
