I just watched the first episode the other day. I was feeling pretty cynical--I'd adored the original series and I couldn't quite figure out why/how rebooting it. And everyone said it was weepy but i don't tend to get weepy over things like that, and I never really did for the first series even in their weepiest episodes.
But yeah, I got watery eyes. Especially since "you can't fix ugly" is pretty much my own life for myself/
It's a great show, it's probably even better than the original but we probably wouldn't get this if we didn't have OG QE to pave the way.
Tom is a great 1st ep but there are like 3-4 more that are really fantastic. I'm glad that with the 2nd season, it's not just guys anymore that they're making over.
