Age of Ultron
Apr. 23rd, 2015 04:09 pmI was...underwhelmed.
Not that I didn't like it but it felt like a series of action set pieces connected by a thread of a story. What's even more disappointing is that it comes after some great character development in IM3 and CA:TWS.
I'm usually a little slow when it comes to gender issues but when did Natasha become a romance novel damsel in distress? Ah, whatever, Whedon. I loved the banter, the little things like Thor's face when Steve almost lifted the hammer, or how fluid the choreography was when they were working together on the field as if they've trained for this a million times. And whoever wrote Farmer!Clint on LJ/AO3, you are a genius lol But this is not a movie that I will watch again.

Date: 2015-04-23 04:16 pm (UTC)It's funny, every time I watch Avengers now, after Winter Soldier, it just seems so sad and cartoonish. Even the fights and stuff blowing up in Cap2 didn't bore me the way the ones in Avengers did. And because these are so successful, everyone just thinks Joss is a genius.
