Midnight Special

I really really liked it. The 4 main characters (besides the kid) were played fantastically by Michael Shannon, Joel Edgerton, Adam Driver & Kirsten Dunst -- everyone was firing on all cylinders. Despite some minor quibbles, I really had a great time; I couldn't believe that it was almost 2 hours long.

I loved Take Shelter, the director's previous movie with Shannon. It was amazing, so I'm actually really interested in Midnight Special.

I think it's a loose sequel? I mean, like Michael Shannon's playing different characters but I think I read that the director thought that both movies kind of exist in the same universe.
