X-Men Apocalypse

Mutants with bad hair and fashion. Totally brought me back to my teen years.

It had great set pieces, and interesting takes on the young mutants. Evan Peters is still the superior Quicksilver; while the Time in a Bottle sequence in the Pentagon kitchen will never be topped, they sure give it one hell of a try. And kudos to Michael Fassbender for acting the shit out of this role, which can't be said for James McAvoy (who didn't have much to do) and Jennifer Lawrence (I love her but she was sleepwalking through this). Anyway, it seemed too much story for one movie, and everyone suffered for it.

p.s. One great thing about it, is at least, there are no fucking ants!

I haven't gone to see it yet because I too am afraid of the sheer number of characters that are in this movie and what it'll mean for their development. I love both Quicksilvers though. Sad that James McAvoy doesn't have much to do. His powers are much less flashy than the others though so I can imagine he doesn't get many actiony scenes.
