I really really like it. It's the best Spiderman movie since Spiderman 2, and probably part of the reason why is that it features the best villain we've seen in the MCU (I just realized that Michael Keaton was the lead in Birdman *wink wink*). The main reasons why is that Tom Holland is the best Spiderman/Peter Parker like ever, and the story/movie lets him be the kid that he really is. It also reminds me of Ant-Man because it's really a small movie, masquerading as a blockbuster -- the story and conflict is localized, the concerns (especially Peter's) are not about the fate of the world/universe but are serious all the same.

I'm currently watching and I'm always pleasantly surprised to be reminded that Henry Cavill was in this. He was such a baby in this, but even then, his wide, beaming smile is recognizable.

I just binged watched it and the long hiatus was worth it. It's better in so many ways than the first season. I was one of those people who was not really enamored with the show, and joked that I only stay for the clusterfucks (sorrynotsorry) but I'm glad I gave it another chance.

I think that the Wachowski excel at world-building -- I mean, look at The Matrix and Jupiter Ascending -- so it's fascinating what they cooked up for us in the 2nd season. Read more... )

I watched the movie over the weekend, I think it's an interesting piece of work; it works like a a fabulous fever dream, totally in line with what's happening to the lead character. I have a fondness for this mainly because I think that this was the reason for my sexual awakening...that term makes me laugh, but I think it's very apt. I had an inkling I was gay way before this but it was like this boy is cute, that one is adorable, etc. When I watched this movie, I totally latched onto one male dancer, Autumn, which would climax (pun intended) in Take Off With Us.

It's the best sequel since The Winter Soldier. Groot slays every time he's on screen and surprisingly, it's more emotional than the first movie. I want to watch it again.

They're having a MCU Marathon (on Star Movies) that will lead up to the premiere of CA Civil War Tonight. No Iron Man movies, which is fine -- he/RDJ is already overexposed as it is. I forgot how heartbreaking that scene where Thor tries to lift Mjolnir and discovers that he can't.

aka Iron Man 5: Meet My Protege, Spider-Man. You might know him from his surprise bit from Iron Man 4: Avengers Disassembled, With Special Guest Star Captain America.

The best thing about it was Luke Evans as Gaston.

Watching a shirtless Jay R Ferguson smoking his meat, is making me feel things. What a daddy.

I haven't watched this. I tried once but I started crying at the opening credits. So I don't watch this. But I caught the ending recently -- and yes, I cried -- I think that it was sweet that basically, the ending (and most likely, the movie) was retooled to be an ode to Paul Walker.

It's really weird to have a preference in identical twins. I mean, I find Aaron Ashmore sexier than Shawn -- they have the same face but I'm attracted more to Aaron. The only time I really found Shawn sexy was when he had that beard in Days of Future Past.

Sorry, I just finished watching the latest Killjoys.

I had an awesome time. It pays homage to the original but still made it their own. All the ladies kicked ass, which was just wonderful to watch. I'm a gay man but I have a crush on Kate McKinnon's Jillian Holtzmann. And Chris Hemsworth, in between MCU movies, should always do comedies. None of these tryhard leading man roles, he should always leverage that face and body to the service of making us confused by making us laugh as well as getting us horny.

I love it. It's fun and Ruth Negga and Joe Gilgun are fantastic. And I love Dom Cooper's hobitty face.

I got sad when I heard this got cancelled. I mean, it's a Grey's clone but it was entertaining. The lead Alex is irritating but I kinda love that she's the center of 3 men's lives -- her ex gay husband and father of her 2 kids, her former mentor slash emotionally unavailable ex-fling/kinda boyfriend who left and is now back, and her current boyfriend slash colleague.

It was crazy bananas but I love the interactions between all the characters and I love that the current and former love interests were actually friends and had interests that didn't have anything to do with Alex.

I like it a lot. It hasn't replaced CAWS as my favorite MCU movie but it's right up there. It's more Robert Downey Jr that I really want in a Captain America movie but hey, it's also more Steve & Bucky that I expected, given the trailers.

I'm going to watch again tomorrow.
